Bethany Baptist Kids' Club 2011

To the parents and guardians of the children from Bethany Baptist Church and of the Greater Gardner Community:

Greetings from the Kids’ Club leaders of Bethany Baptist Church.  This year, Kids’ Club is begining a new series for children titled "Jesus, What A Savior."

It is our hope that this year your children will come to know God in a way that not only enlightens their minds, but creates a deep sense of awe and reverence for him in their hearts.

Parents who would like to assist with the program or be part of the leadership team in any way should speak to Pastor Meiners. It takes a great deal of wisdom to live in the world we share, but that does not just happen. It takes diligence and discipline. It takes a teachable heart on the part of the student. It also requires wise adults who are willing to instruct them.

We invite all parents and children from the community to participate.

We very much look forward to seeing you and ministering to you and your children this year.

For further information, please call 978-632-5097. Check in to this page of the church website for updates as the year progresses.

Expectantly yours,

Sue Meiners and Rich Martin for the Bethany Kid’s Club Leaders

Kids' Club Activities - 2011

Wednesday, Oct. 5th, was "S'Mores Night" for that week's Kids' Club meeting. We had storytelling outdoors around a campfire, followed by making S'Mores over the fire.

About Kids' Club

What We Do

Kids' Club give clubbers have an opportunity to earn prizes and awards by learning memory verses at home to recite during our small group time.
During the evening children will participate in stories and songs, handbook time, games and occasional crafts.

This year there will also be optional activities to do with parents, reading incentives and other fun activities throughout the year with leaders and other clubbers. Hiking, swimming, sledding, sleepovers and other Saturday activities are usually scheduled three or four times a year.

Where to Go

Kids’ Club is held in our Fellowship Hall, which is downstairs in the church. Enter by the door at the left end of the parking lot (when facing the back of the church) to drop your kids off.

When

Kid’s Club runs from 6:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., with parents coming into the building to pick up their children.

Kids' Club K-Grade 6 Curriculum

"Jesus, What a Savior!" is a children's study on redemption. Children are sinners, too, and the consequences for their sins are eternal. The curriculum is designed to present the gospel, not with “us” at the center of the story, but with the greatness and worth of God at the center.

During the year, an overview of the story of redemption will begin at the creation and fall of man and will cover major themes of the Bible.

Throughout the lessons, an illustration using colored hearts shows what we were created to do, the effects of sin on our hearts, and the absolute need for Christ to restore our hearts.

The last half of the year will be an in-depth look at the life and person of Jesus Christ. Children will consider questions such as:

  • “What is God like?”
  • “Why is Jesus so special?”
  • “What kind of people does he call to follow him?”
  • “How can I get to know him better?”, and
  • “What does he teach is the purpose of life?”
Club time runs from 6:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday nights. During the evening, the children will participate in stories and songs, handbook time, games and occasional crafts.  Hiking, swimming, sledding, sleepovers and other Saturday activities are usually scheduled three or four times a year.

Children from Pre-K through sixth grade may work, with their parent’s help, to earn awards and trophies throughout the year.

We look forward to see you and your children on Wednesday nights!

Kids' Club Preschool Curriculum

Preschool Curriculum

New this year will be a class for 4 and 5 year old preschoolers. These little ones will be learning about our wonderful, powerful big, Big God and that “He Has Been Clearly Seen” and has shown us who He is in His creation. (You can learn more about this curriculum here.)
