Haiti Relief Efforts: How to Help

Compassionate Relief Efforts for Haitian Earthquake Victims

Many organizations are providing emergency disaster relief for the earthquake victims in Haiti. This page provides links to information that will let you choose how to support these efforts. Some are secular, some are faith-based.

The Bethany Baptist Sunday School supports CURE International's efforts in Haiti. Church members can also support a variety of other relief organizations, listed here.

  • CURE International (supported by the Bethany Sunday School's weekly offerings)
  • Come Together Now, Haiti: Recently at Belmont University's Ocean Way Studios (Nashville TN), multi-platinum, GRAMMY and Dove Award winning artist, Michael W. Smith gathered a who's-who list from the music community to record "Come Together Now." The song, penned by Smith, David Mullen and Cindy Morgan - and produced by Bryan Lenox - was written to remind people of the need to help those in Haiti.
  • Other faith-based organizations and individuals:
    • Gardner MA: Dr. John Mulqueen is a local pediatrician who supports "Forward in Health," an organization involved in "Providing life sustaining health care
to people of the Les Cayes region of Haiti
      ."

    • Fitchburg, MA: Door of Hope Ministries is accepting cash donations. Volunteers with medical experience are also needed. Contact the church office for more information: Pastors Phil and Irene Cebula, 978-348-1700, 245 Walton Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420

Checks can be mailed to the church (Note "Haiti Relief Effort" or just "Haiti"). All proceeds will be sent directly to Pastors Lexidan and Renee Evme, Mission of Hope-Haiti. We will be accepting donations for the next 6-8 weeks. No donation is too small.

    • Mission Viejo, CA: Mission Viejo Christian Church. Their missionary team has been in Haiti for some time and was affected by the quake. They are running low on supplies and water.Right now they need money donations in order to purchase necessary items. Donate here.
