As Gardner, MA, celebrates the 225^th anniversary of its founding during 2010, the city asked area churches to recognize Gardner’s history.

Coincidentally, Bethany Baptist Church is celebrating our church’s founding 115 years ago (1895).

This year our Vacation Bible School occurred over a week-end rather than during the week. For this reason, we called it "Summer Festival" instead of  "VBS." Its theme was the celebration of our church’s anniversary and its position in the community as we reenacted the 1700's in period dress to learn about the influence of the Great Awakening on Baptist history, particularly those aspects of the Great Awakening that occurred in Massachusetts and near Gardner.

Summer Festival was held over the week-end of Friday, July 9th through Sunday, July 11th, with activities for all ages.
