Bethany’s Bible Studies for All Ages
Sunday Bible Studies
Next Step Adult Bible Study Hour
These Next Step Bible study classes for adults are available following the worship gathering from 11:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m. The topics change every 3-4 months, so check back here regularly. (Click here to return to the main Christian Education page.)
- April 21: “Bethany Baptism Information Class” with Pastor Ruben Cabrera (Classroom A, Main floor): A baptismal service is being planned. Plan to attend the baptismal class on April 21 with Pastor Ruben during the Next Step hour if you are ready to follow the Lord in obedience to His command to make a public declaration of your relationship with Him. Talk to Pastor Ruben if you have questions about this opportunity.
- March 17-On-going: “1689 Baptist Confession of Faith” — Mr. Al Bump leads a class that is an examination of the Gospel truths found in the “1689 Baptist Confession of Faith,” also known as the “Second London Confession.” We will learn how these doctrines affirm Scriptural truths and how to apply them to our worship. Speak to Al for more information.
- On-going: “Take Two” – with Eric Sanden: Using the Bethany@Home study provided in the weekly message guides, Mr. Sanden facilitates a discussion designed to help participants apply and go deeper in their understanding of the Sunday message. Videos from Right Now Media programs are often used to supplement the discussions.
- Coming soon: Deacon Randy Haimila will lead a class on the “Full Armor of God” from Chapter 6 of the Book of Ephesians. Scripture is clear that God has granted us as Christians the full riches of His glory and everything we need to combat the corrupting influence of the devil. It reveals what belongs to us because we belong to Christ. Join us in our study of Ephesians 6, as we discover the tools that God has provided us to combat the wiles of the devil.
Our Adult Bible Study Teachers
Kingdom Kids Bible Study Hour
Our Kingdom Kids Bible study program for children in Grades K-6 is available during the worship gathering from 10:15 a.m. — 11:15 a.m.
The theme for 2023-24 continues with The Kingdom Journey: Genesis to Revelation. We are continuing our journey through the Old Testament. Using a new curriculum, ”Simply Loved,” a quarterly-based program, we spend two months in the Old Testament and one month in the New Testament. The teachers will continue to use The Adventure Bible (the children also receive their own copy of this Bible) to use during the lessons. This curriculum leads the students on a consistent journey together through the story of the Messiah and how He builds His Kingdom from the Old Testament through the New Testament.
During the different seasons of the church, they will focus at times on Lent, Easter and Advent. The teachers also take time throughout the year to focus on special themes and projects, including Mothers and Fathers Day, Memorial, Independence and Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. They supplement all of these lessons with short videos, crafts and related activities.
