Celebrated on the last Sunday in October, Reformation Sunday commemorates the occasion when German monk, Martin Luther, nailed his “95 Theses” to the door of Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany, on October 31, 1517, the eve of All Saints’ Day, and launched what became the Protestant Reformation.
This year, the Protestant Church celebrates the 500th anniversary of this cataclysmic event in the life of the Christian church. Join us as Interim Pastor David K. Astolfi brings the message, “Sola Scriptura” (by Scripture alone), using 2 Timothy 3:16-17 as his text. Our worship service will be dedicated to honoring this historic occasion.
But Martin Luther was not the only person involved in the Protestant Reformation. Read profiles here of the men and women whose godly lives contributed to this historic event in the life of the Christian church.
