The Z People of Central Asia
The Z people are Kurdish Muslims. Population estimates vary but there may be as many as 3 Million Z people in the world today, most of whom are found in Turkey. More Z people are being baptized every month, and there are two growing churches in a major city. Serious organized missions efforts to evangelize and disciple the Z people are underway in the German diaspora, in Istanbul, Turkey, and indigenously in scattered Turkish cities and towns, mostly in Turkey’s southeast region.
Bethany adopted this unreached people group in 2014, has sent members on missions there and received their missionaries here.
